TopJigsaw should be comfortable to play however you use a screen. This page says what works today, what doesn’t yet, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.
What works
- Keyboard. Every button, menu, dialog and form on the home screen and around the table can be reached and used with the keyboard, with a visible focus ring. At the table, keys cover the main tools: E Edges, G Grab, P Picture, L Lock, M mute, + / − zoom, 0 reset zoom and Space pause.
- Screen readers. Controls have spoken names, dialogs announce themselves, and progress (“40 of 99 pieces joined”) and messages are read out.
- Reduced motion. If your device asks for less motion, animations are cut back.
- Touch targets. Buttons on touch screens are at least 44 pixels, the size Apple and Google recommend.
- Zoom. Pinch or scroll zooms the table in for a closer look, and the picture window can be resized.
- Colour. Text and controls are designed to meet WCAG AA contrast, and the table colour can be changed.
What doesn’t work yet
- Pieces can’t be moved with the keyboard or a screen reader alone: placing them needs a mouse, finger, pen or other pointer.
- The picture itself isn’t described beyond its title.
