TopJigsaw Terms

These terms cover your use of TopJigsaw, including shared puzzles made from your own photos. By using TopJigsaw, and in particular by sharing a photo with other players, you agree to them.

Photos you share are your responsibility

When you invite people to a puzzle made from your own photo, the photo is sent directly from your device to the players you let in. TopJigsaw does not upload, store, host, review or moderate it. You are solely responsible for any photo you share and for having the right to share it.

Do not share photos that:

contain nudity or sexual content;
involve or sexualise minors in any way;
show graphic violence, gore, or cruelty;
promote hate, or harass, threaten or bully anyone;
show someone who hasn’t agreed to be shared, or reveal someone’s private information;
you don’t own or have permission to share;
are otherwise illegal where you or the people you share with live.

Photos other players share with you

A photo another player shares is user content. It was not made, chosen, reviewed or approved by TopJigsaw, and TopJigsaw is not responsible or liable for what it shows. Before a shared photo is displayed you see a warning and choose whether to view it. Only join puzzles from people you know and trust.

Received photos are checked and redrawn on your device before they are shown (only the picture itself is kept; any hidden data in the file is thrown away), and they are only ever displayed inside the puzzle, never saved as a file.

How shared photos move

The photo travels between players’ devices over an encrypted connection. The service that relays game messages only ever handles scrambled data it cannot read, and keeps none of it.
The host decides who joins. Nobody receives the photo without the host letting them in, and the host can remove a player from the table at any time.
Each player keeps a copy on their own device so they can keep playing. Deleting the puzzle from Continue, or reporting it, removes that copy from that device.

Reporting

If you see a photo that breaks these rules, use Report on the join screen or Report photo & leave in the players list. The puzzle and its photo are deleted from your device and you leave the table. The report contains the table code and your reason, never the photo (TopJigsaw has no copy of it). If a photo shows a child being harmed or any other crime, please also report it to your local police or, in the United States, to the NCMEC CyberTipline.

Other players

Names, stickers and drawings on shared tables come from other players. Treat people with respect. You can mute a player’s stickers and drawings on your screen, and the host can remove players.

No warranty

TopJigsaw is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, TopJigsaw and its makers are not liable for content shared by players, or for any loss or harm arising from your use of shared puzzles.

Changes

These terms may change as TopJigsaw grows. If the rules for sharing photos change, you’ll be asked to agree again before your next share.
